Bill Mariotti, '15, Makes Largest Individual Donation in USFSM History
Development company owner Bill Mariotti, who graduated from USFSM in 2015 more than 30 years after his USF education was interrupted by a family crisis, has announced a legacy donation of $3.5 million to both institutions. It is the Sarasota university's largest ever individual contribution.
20-year-old USF Graduate Hopes to Continue Jockey Career
Entering college at the age of 16 and graduating as a 20-year-old is an impressive task on its own, but that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the resume of recent graduate Cheyanna Patrick. She's also won multiple races as a horse jockey and is going to law school, where she'll hope to continue her horse racing career.

USFSM Marks Graduation of Its First Freshman Class
Some of the first freshmen to attend USF Sarasota-Manatee graduated May 8 with pomp, ceremony, and special stoles that read "USFSM First Freshman." The school began offering four-year degrees in 2013.
