Barron & Dana Collier Give USF $10.85 Milion
The University of South Florida has received a $10.85 million gift from Barron "Barry" Gift Collier III and his wife, Dana Collier, to name the business college unit that focuses on student success and career preparedness. That unit will now be known as the Collier Student Success Center at USF's Muma College of Business. Barry Collier is a 1980 graduate of the college.
New Exhibit, A Family Affair, Opens at Contemporary Art Museum
A Family Affair, an exploration of personal identity and family relationships through photographs, video, performance and animation, opened this week at USF's Contemporary Art Museum. It features the work of seven artists, including Kalup Linzy's Queen Rose Family Tree (pictured), and continues through Dec. 12. Admission is free but you'll need to pay to park. Alum Joins Professional Women Offering Work-Life Balance Tips
The president of Swim Digital Group, a wife and the mother of 6-year-old and 9-month-old boys, says a key to achieving work-life balance is not being so hard on yourself. "The world will not stop spinning if you make a mistake," says Benjamin, a College of Public Health alumna. She and two other women pursuing careers while raising families share more tips ahead of the 2015 Working Women State Conference Sept. 10. Read more.
